I was recently in a group meeting and I heard from a colleague gave me pause. When it was time for one of our manager to share her status, she caught me off guard. Instead of just giving status and progress, she went straight to saying that she did her job, but it’s not done because another manager didn’t respond to her, so it’s not done and it’s not her fault.

Leaders Are No Longer Friends
I grew up watching Friends, a world famous sitcom from the US. My favorite character in the group is Chandler Bing. In one episode, he’s promoted from a normal employee to being a manager. Chandler quickly realizes that his coworkers, who he considered to be his friends are now distant. He’s now their leader and are no longer treated as one of their friends.
